Bradley D. Goldizen
Patent Attorney

I am a member of the VA State Bar and licensed to
represent others before the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office (U.S.PTO)
in patent and trademark matters. I can represent anyone before the
U.S.PTO; I have prosecuted numerous patents for foreign and domestic
clients.
During high school, I studied Industrial Electricity and obtained an
electrician's license. Following high school, I joined the United States
Army working as an electronics technician. Upon completion of military
service, I studied at West Virginia University and obtained a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Locally, I worked for a government contractor
designing and integrating communication systems. I also worked for a
Norfolk-based research and development company, helping to obtain
protection for intellectual property. I am a Regent Law School graduate
who practiced patent and intellectual property in Washington D.C. with a
large international law firm. My experience includes over twenty years
of working with electricity and electronics.
Some of the Intellectual Property Services provided
by me include:
-
Conducting patentability and patent validity
searches
-
Drafting provisional and nonprovisional patent applications
-
Providing patent infringement opinions
-
Prosecuting patent applications
-
Analyzing Official Actions issued by the United States Patent and
Trademark Office
-
Providing opinions concerning patent misuse and unfair competition
-
Litigating patent infringement claims
-
Obtaining preliminary injunctions
-
Drafting licensing agreements involving technology.
I have experience in many areas of patent prosecution including:
"E-commerce" type business patents, computer implemented inventions,
electrical and mechanical devices and/or apparatuses, optical devices,
data management, storage and manipulation devices and techniques, and
semiconductor devices and manufacturing techniques.
I also conduct trademark searches, prepare and file
trademark and copyright applications, prosecute trademark applications,
and advise clients on trade secret protection and violations. I am
available to meet with you to discuss any area of Intellectual Property
Law or other legal issue.
